Deborah Hunnicutt oversees Samuel Raymond Christian School and is deeply involved in the community where the school is located. She teaches adult English classes to the parents of SRCS students, the police, and security workers at the airport. Sarah began serving in Roatan, Honduras in the summer of 2014. She has a long family heritage of overseas and local ministry and felt her heart drawn to full-time missions during her senior year of university.

Serving with Global Strategy at Church of God Ministries, Sarah’s main work is teaching at a local neighborhood school. She facilitates a girls’ Bible study and middle school leadership program for the school’s students. She also teaches English to parents of the students, the local police, and airport security workers. Moscow, Russia is a city of 12 million people. It is the center of power and wealth for all of Russia and much of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. There are 1.3 million university students in Moscow alone. These students are the best and brightest of that region of the world and the majority of them have never heard a gospel presentation. The Tillmans, serving through CRU (formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ), hope to share the gospel with these students and equip them to develop their own personal ministries while creating movements of students on the 150 university campuses throughout the city. If this generation of future leaders is reached, God could use them to radically change this spiritually dark, influential city into a bright light that reaches the rest of Russia and the world.

From a humble start leading one campus ministry, Millwood Middle School in Oklahoma City, the Tompkins now serve as National Leaders of CRU (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ). They oversee US and international high school and middle school ministry efforts by developing youth leadership to expand into additional school campuses. They also promote peer-to-peer ministry so students around the world will be exposed to the gospel message and know how to apply their faith to everyday life.
